Mary joined Galileo with a background in the life sciences and a passion for understanding the human condition, particularly as it relates to healthcare. As a researcher at Huntsman Cancer Institute, Mary utilized cutting-edge epigenetic techniques to understand modifications to the nucleosome in cancer cells, as groundwork for the eventual creation of targeted therapies. She brings with her an intense curiosity which drives her to ask more questions and uncover deeper insights. By adopting a systems mindset to consider all pieces of the puzzle, Mary seeks to weave eloquent and comprehensive stories that truthfully reflect individuals’ lives.

Mary studied Biology and Russian Language at Union College, where she was also given the opportunity to study environmentalism in Siberia. Outside of work, Mary enjoys exploring nature and dabbling in (occasionally short-lived) hobbies such as maple sugaring, calligraphy, and making music.
